  • Make a quick dinner
  • Help run the front of house and sell tickets for the play at my high school (helping out the new director)

  • Clean bathrooms; put away laundry; clean bedrooms
  • Back to school to help sell more tickets

Sunday:

  • I care about nothing else except going to see BREAKING DAWN 2!

Weekend Planning

In an attempt to get back into the blogging swing of things, I am back with Weekend Planning!

Friday:
  • Attempt not to fall asleep because we went to a triple feature of the Dark Knight movies last night, didn't get home until 3:30 AM, and I had to get Logan from my in-law's at 7:30 AM.  No fun.
  • Bake zucchini-carrot muffins
  • Make pizza dough
  • Grocery list
  • Trader Joe's and Target
Saturday:
  • Finish up grocery shopping
  • Laundry
  • Organize paperwork
  • Powerwash patie
  • Weed flower beds
Sunday:
  • Work on curriculum planning
  • Shop for cousin's graduation present
  • Work on swing set

Weekend Planning Blog Hop

A day late is better than no plan at all, right?  Especially since a mean blizzard blew through and has put a huge wrench into our plans.  Logan was supposed to go spend the late morning at a Valentine's Day party with his friends and I had to turn around because our tiny car was everywhere in the snow and our city has not been plowed AT ALL.  It is such an irritating thing about living in Cleveland in the winter.

Friday:
  • Scrapbook with a friend (we got Chipotle, bought some supplies and hung out at her house while scrapbooking!)
Saturday:
  • Valentine's Day Kiddo party at a friend's house
  • Clean bathrooms
  • Laundry
  • Dust and vacuum main floor
  • Grade some Macbeth essays
  • Make dinner
  • Family movie night
Sunday:
  • Grade
  • Dust and vacuum bedrooms
  • Visit my brother, SIL, and niece
Extras:

  • Organize something
  • Pinterest craft
  • Bake/make a new recipe

    -Mop laundry room
-A has her own little list of chores:
          -Vacuum living and dining room
         -Sweep laundry room

    Tuesday:

    Weekend Planning Blog Hop

How is it Friday already?  And where did my summer go??  My Facebook page is filled with fellow teachers lamenting the start of the school year.  In a way, it is nice to get back to a daily routine, but the little man and I had a pretty darn good one this summer (on most days!).  WE are also excited because his babysitter is also watching a good friend's baby girl, so Logan will have a playmate!  This weekend is PACKED and I have to really make the best use of my time, so without further ado, here it goes!

    Friday:
    -Clean out fridge
-Menu plan and make grocery list (back-to-school lunch supplies must be purchased!)
-Grocery shopping and Target for baby supplies
-Make veggie pizza and apple plum bars
    -Vacuum living room, dining room
-Sweep and mop hall and kitchen

    Saturday:
-Mall for birthday presents for Mom and Alexys
    -Pick up ice-cream cake
    -Clean bathrooms
    -Parents' house for Mom's birthday

    Sunday:
    -Quick clean of house
    -Vacuum
    -Family over for Alexys' birthday

    How it Works:
If you haven't already, blog about your weekend plans. Maybe you have a bunch of projects you are going to tackle. Maybe you are attending BBQ after BBQ. Or perhaps you are laying low. Weekend Planning

Ah, the weekend! This week has been an emotional rollercoaster, with some stuff going on with the girls and then...Harry Potter (which I will report on later).  J and A come home in a week and a half so I am going to really try and enjoy the last of my quiet time with just me and the little man.   Here is our agenda for the weekend:

      Friday:
      • Recover from what I have termed my Harry Potter hangover. And visit my parents.
      Saturday:
      • Laundry
      • Clean bathrooms
      • Vacuum and dust master BR
      • Retirement party for one of our teachers
      Sunday:
      • Bridal shower

Kind of a laid-back weekend and I am okay with that.  I feel like we haven't had time to breathe lately so I am looking forward to it!  What is on your agenda for the weekend?  Any projects or just relaxing and enjoying the sun??

        Weekend Planning!

I swear, this has been the longest.week.ever. We have OGT (Ohio Graduation Testing) at school, so our 10th graders were there all day, but the rest of the kids didn't show up until 10 AM. Then our periods were only 30 minutes each! To anyone who is a teacher...30 minute periods are a total and complete waste. By the time you get the kids settled, take attendance, and get started, the period is over! And my 10th graders were fried by the end of the week. And so was I.

So here is what is on the agenda this weekend:

Friday: Nada! Went to dinner/fish fry with my in-laws, then they stopped by quickly to see our family room.

        Saturday:
        • Order carpet for family room!
        • Grocery shopping
        • First meeting with family therapist (just C and I for the first meeting)
        • Take Ozzie to get groomed at 5 PM
        • Pray, as Jamie is having a sleepover. AUGH.
        • Try not to kill 3 13-year old girls.
        • Clean my house
        Sunday:
        • Make a ginormous pot of spaghetti sauce for some of this week's and next week's recipes
        • Make pierogies
        • Continue cleaning house and prep family room for carpet
        • Grade papers
Kind of a light weekend, but Saturday is packed. I am going to be posting lots in the upcoming few weeks because we are hosting Easter for TWENTY people at our house! My largest sit-down party ever!

Any good Easter recipe ideas? Send them my way!

        Weekend Planning: Snowed in!

It is a non-stop snowfest here in Cleveland! We had a snow day today (both the district I teach in and the girls' district) so we were all home today! And you know what? I did a whole lot of nada! After shoveling at 6 AM (we have yet to get a snowblower), I went back to sleep at 8 AM and woke up at 10:30. We went to lunch, I came home and took a nap, and then did some errands with the girls. I promise I will be productive the rest of the weekend! What is on the agenda? Well, here it is!

        Saturday: Focus on the house!
        • Grocery shopping: Compiling menu for next two weeks and menu tonight so I am ready to go in the AM
        • Make pie crusts
        • Clean and organize master BR
        • Clean bathrooms
        • Vacuum and dust (girls)
        • Hang shelves in bathroom and living room
        Sunday:
        • Make chicken pot pies
        • Make wedding soup
        • Clean 3rd BR
        • Put away fall and Christmas bins
        • Grade papers!
What is on your agenda this weekend? Is anyone else waiting for the challenge to begin at My Happy House? I know I am!

        Weekend Planning: Christmas Brunch weekend!

Tonight marks the beginning of 16 days free of work! One of the few perks of being a teacher is Christmas vacation. Let me tell you, this year, it is much needed. It has been a rough one! This weekend begins my Christmas baking as well as the Christmas brunch we are hosting. So here is the breakdown of what we have going on this weekend!

        Friday:
-Baking! The biscotti must be done for Sunday and I am going to attempt to get a few of my cookies done, especially my grandma's Italian cookies, the gingerbread snowflakes, and the white chocolate cherry shortbreads. Everything else can wait until Sunday night so I can finish and send everything to my family in Idaho and package up the baskets for our neighbors.
        -Finish wrapping presents
        -Complete Christmas cards
-Clean master bedroom, hallway and sweep stairs

        Saturday:
-Table arrives between 8 and noon! I am psyched!
        -Baking, if time
-Grocery shopping for ingredients for Sunday
        -Clean bathrooms
-Set up buffet and set tables
        -Make winter salad and dressing
        -Prep breakfast casseroles
        -Dust and vacuum living areas

        Sunday:
-Bake egg casserole and cinnamon rolls
        -Celebrate with my family!
-Clean and relax for the rest of the day!

What do you have planned for this weekend?? Any Christmas celebrations? Baking? Tell us!
