Sunday: Raked half the leaves in the backyard. We have not even THOUGHT about the front or the back half of the back. Oh dear.
Monday: GOT THE KEYS at 4 PM. Well, our realtor called, telling me the title was officially transferred and I went to the house because the key was under the doormat. Got in there and we started stripping the wallpaper in the kitchen. Wall vacuum partially removed from the front hall (and I am royally pissed I forgot to take a picture of it!) and ugly sconces (which must be original to the house as they were drilled into the stud) were finally down. All hardware removed from cabinets and stupid florescent lights under kitchen cabinets down as well.
Tuesday: All cabinet doors removed. Holes patched in living room and where wall vac was. Ceilings in downstairs and one bedroom done. And STILL removing wallpaper from kitchen.
Wednesday: Master bedroom primed. Ugly fake woodwork in girls' bedroom primed. Both other bedrooms patched. Wallpaper in bathroom down (MUCH easier than kitchen). Ceiling fan moved from kitchen to dining room and new light fixture up in kitchen. And my mother in law? Still removing the glue from the stupid wallpaper in kitchen.
We are making lots of progress and have had lots of help, so I consider myself really blessed. I will update with some pictures this weekend.
