Clomid Cycle 1 Update

I finished up my first cycle of Clomid on Monday.  I was petrified of the side effects and I had heard so many nightmare stories that I was really nervous.  I consider myself VERY lucky.  I hardly had any side-effects, except for some hot flashes, especially in the middle of the night.  I have never been a good sleeper, and I think this is why I felt this so much.  But, who knows.  Anyway, the Metformin side effects have worn off and my system seems to have adjusted to that.  No more nausea, thank goodness!

In the Blogworld, one of my favorite bloggers, Heather, is expecting her first.  I am really looking forward to reading about her journey and she was gracious enough to post about how she was having cycle issues and that Clomid was her miracle drug.  Let's hope I can say the same.

Tomorrow

Tomorrow marks my first day on Clomid.  I am really really really afraid the drug is going to make me even more bat-shit crazy than I already am.  So...pray for my family as we enter what could be a dangerous five days!

Bring on the drugs

At the end of the month, my OBGYN is having me start Provera followed by Clomid and then possibly Metaformin due to my PCOS and ridiculously long cycles. 65 days long is not going to cut it when you are trying to make a baby!

I am worried about the bloating (after all, I am already fat) and the night sweats/hot flashes and really hope my sleep does not become even worse than it already is. Oh, and I am afraid I am going to become a raving lunatic and make my family and students crazy.

The plus side? I feel like we are getting somewhere. I adore my new OBGYN and felt as if she was really proactive and answered all of my questions.

Hopefully we will have some positive news in a month or two!
