Holiday Preparation: Thanksgiving Invitations

Although we are not sending out Thanksgiving invitations, I thought I would whip up a mock invitation on the off-chance you are looking for an idea.

For this invitation, I used a 5x7 piece of brown cardstock leftover from some bridal shower invitations I made. Then I cut a piece of orange cardstock to 4.75x6.75 and a piece of tan cardstock to 4.5x6.5.
Brown cardstock from Paper-Source

I formatted the invitation in word and changed the font color to brown.
No worries. All the information on here is false!

After printing, I wrapped a brown grosgrain ribbon around the invitation and sealed it with scrapbook adhesive. My favorite paper company, Paper-Source, has envelopes and pre-cut cardstock available in SO MANY colors, or just pick up an A7 envelope from your local craft store.

DIY Cookie Exchange Invitation

For the invitation for my cookie exchange in December, I cut red cardstock leftover from our wedding down to A7 size (5x7) and then cut white cardstock to 4.75x6.75.

The wording for the invitation is formatted in Microsoft Word using a free font from dafont.com. I am also including a "rules" card telling the guests what they need to bring and how much!
